Morson’s London Rail division, based out of Canning Town, has achieved a landmark success by securing three major framework agreements with Transport for London (TfL).
In a fiercely competitive market, we are proud to say that Morson is the only supplier to win all three frameworks. It is a testament to our expertise, long-standing relationships, and the dedication of our people. These wins not only strengthened our position as a trusted partner to TfL but also secured the future of hundreds of skilled workers across the capital. So, how did we achieve this?
Morson’s success on track
In May 2025, following a rigorous two-year tender process, Morson was awarded the prestigious TfL Track Protection contract. Having been a supplier to this framework since the 1990s, this win marks a significant evolution: Morson will now act as the sole supplier for all safety-critical resources across TfL’s network. The contract covers the London Underground, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), and the Elizabeth Line. With a headcount of over 350 skilled professionals and an annual value of approximately £30 million, the award cements Morson’s role at the heart of London’s rail infrastructure.
In July, Morson further strengthened its partnership with TfL by securing a place on the TfL Track Works and Resources Lot 2a Heavy Track Maintenance contract. Valued at an estimated £579.3 million over eight years across three suppliers, this contract equates to around £24 million per supplier annually. It represents another critical area of rail infrastructure delivery where Morson’s expertise and capability have shone through.
Most recently, Morson was awarded places on both Lot 1A – General Track Labour and Lot 1B – Specialist Track Labour.
Together, these contracts are worth approximately £16 million per year over an eight-year term, once again ensuring stability for workers and continuity for TfL’s operations.

Our dedicated account and support team ensure that workers are fully mobilised, managed, and resourced to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient rail services.
This success also highlights our unique position as the only supplier to secure all three frameworks, underscoring both the strength of our tender and the trust TfL places in our ability to deliver. This achievement holds particular significance for Ged Mason, Morson Group’s Chief Executive, who has been closely involved with the contract throughout its history.
Morson CEO, Ged Mason, said:
“This is a huge moment for our team and for everyone who works across the London rail network with us. Securing all three frameworks is a huge achievement, but beyond the contracts, we’ve secured jobs, celebrated our people’s talent, and strengthened a partnership with TfL that stretches back more than three decades. I couldn’t be prouder of our loyal and dedicated team at Canning Town and the incredible effort that’s gone into achieving this.”
A legacy of partnership with TfL
These recent awards build on that legacy, reinforcing Morson’s reputation as a cornerstone of London’s rail industry and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the city’s infrastructure projects for years to come.
These three wins are more than contracts. They’re a lifeline for hundreds of rail professionals and a massive statement of confidence in Morson. Once again, we’ve proved why we’re the go-to partner for London’s rail infrastructure.
