Biography
Chris joined Morson Group in 2007 as an IT Apprentice and has progressed through a range of technology leadership roles to become Group IT Director. Today, he leads the Group’s technology function, with responsibility for IT, cyber security, information governance, data strategy and technology-enabled transformation.
Operating at CIO level, Chris owns the Group IT Strategy, ensuring technology investments support business growth while balancing security, resilience and scalability. He leads major transformation programmes across the Group, helping simplify technology landscapes, reduce risk and create the foundations for long-term success.
A key focus of Chris’s role is cyber security and governance. He is responsible for maintaining critical information security and service management standards, including Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and ISO 20000, providing assurance to clients, partners and stakeholders across the business.
Combining strong governance with a passion for innovation, Chris has helped drive the adoption of AI, automation and data-led solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making and support sustainable growth. Known for his calm, pragmatic leadership, he plays a central role in ensuring Morson’s technology strategy remains secure, scalable and fit for the future.
